Description:
The tammar wallaby (Macropus eugenii), while abundant on South Australia’s Kangaroo Island, is restricted to only a few small populations on the Australia mainland, and then only where fox numbers are controlled. Their biggest threat on K.I. is from vehicles travelling at speed at dawn and dusk. Here, a tammar wallaby forages near Flinders Chase National Park.
